Rob Cornilles: the Wrong Priorities for Oregon

DCCC spokesperson Jennifer Crider released the following statement on Tea Party Republican Rob Cornilles who is running in the OR-01 Special Election:

“Rob Cornilles has the wrong priorities.  At a time when the country is facing enormous debt, Republicans in Washington should not be extending tax breaks for millionaires and they should not be continuing tax breaks for Big Oil companies.

“We need to get the debt under control, and the right way to do it is with Oregon values. We need to cut wasteful spending. What we shouldn’t do is cut Social Security and Medicare to protect the Bush tax breaks for millionaires. And we shouldn’t cut college funding and worker training to protect tax breaks for Big Oil companies.”
