The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) serves as the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. We provide services ranging from designing and helping execute field operations, to polling, creating radio and television commercials, fundraising, communications, and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and other groups from throughout the country.

Current Job Openings:

Regional Field Director

The DCCC is now taking applications for the position of Regional Field Director. Regional Field Directors are responsible for supporting Field Directors on Congressional Campaigns. The Regional Field Director assists the field director in the creation, implementation and execution of the field plan in congressional districts. Regional Field Directors are also responsible for daily coaching with field directors and working with them on daily reporting and feedback, ensuring accountability.

In addition to the above responsibilities, Regional Field Directors also manage budgets for their respective regions and build relationships with our congressional campaigns and the appropriate Democratic State Parties in their region.

Regional Field Directors will be based from a central location in their region. Daily travel is required to maximize the support for our campaigns.

Field Directors must have strong leadership skills and the ability to support a large staff. Must have also had prior experience with training and coaching of staff on a daily basis. Previous experience with budgets is also necessary. Two cycles of field experience is required, with at least one cycle of managing a field program a must.

Targeting Director

The DCCC Targeting Director will serve as the DCCC's primary data and targeting analyst and liaison between the DCCC and Congressional campaigns, as well as the other party committees.

Primarily, this person is responsible for creating, recommending and implementing voter contact targeting plans. These plans will include vote goals, demographic and geographic goals, universe descriptions and modeling recommendations. The Targeting Director will also create systems designed to regularly evaluate the effectiveness of our targeting plans.

The Targeting Director is also the DCCC liaison to other organizations that assist the committee with utilization of data. This person will work with vendors to ensure that data utilized by democratic congressional campaigns is accurate and up to date.

Applicants must have strong communication and problem solving skills. Applicants must also have had prior experience with supporting democratic campaigns with the voter contact data management, list-building and targeting needs.

Applicants must be familiar with precinct-level and individual level modeling data. An understanding of how to suggest and utilize models on a case by case basis is required.

Field Assistant

The DCCC Field Department is looking for a Field Assistant to join our team. Applicants should be extremely organized, pay close attention to detail, have a great sense of humor, love campaigns, and be committed to protecting our Democratic majority. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating field budgets, scheduling department meetings, and supervising department interns.

In addition, the Field Assistant is responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of the DCCC Summer and Fall Fellowship program, a program designed to recruit people from across the country who will spend their summer or fall assisting the field operation in a congressional campaign.

This is a great opportunity for someone to learn an enormous amount about House campaigns and take part in a challenging and exciting cycle. The learning curve is steep, and the job requires early and late hours, so we're looking for someone smart, enthusiastic, and very committed.
