In Paul Ryan’s Hometown, DCCC Launches “Millionaires Over Medicare” Billboard
In advance of tomorrow’s House vote on Republican Budget Chairman Paul Ryan’s budget, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is going up with a billboard in Ryan’s hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin, to hold him accountable for “Choosing Millionaires over Medicare.” The billboard will be up for the next month as House Republicans vote to end the Medicare guarantee for seniors and, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, could raise seniors’ health care costs, while protecting tax breaks for the ultra wealthy.
The following billboard targeting Representative Paul Ryan (WI-01) is available at 2235 Milton Avenue, Janesville, WI. A picture of the billboard that’s up is available here.
On Monday, the DCCC released a powerful new web video, “Stand Up for Medicare,” featuring Martin Sheen speaking out about Republicans again choosing “Millionaires over Medicare.” Sheen challenges viewers to sign a petition at www.StandUpForMedicare.com and tells Republicans to “keep their hands off Medicare.” The first phase of the DCCC’s “Medicare March” campaign held 41 targeted Republicans accountable with automated and patch through phone calls, which connected voters to their Member of Congress' office so they could urge them to oppose the Republican budget that ends the Medicare guarantee for seniors to protect tax breaks for the ultra wealthy.
