SHAMELESS: After Local Newspapers Rescind Endorsements, Gianforte Still Running Ads Touting Them

Last night, the Billings Gazette, Missoulian, and Helena Independent-Record all rescinded their endorsements of Greg Gianforte after he was charged with assault following his violent attack on a journalist.

So as not to mislead Montana voters on their ways to the polls, Gianforte should have the decency to take down his ads on TV and radio touting those endorsement.

But nope! Instead, Gianforte’s ads touting those newspaper endorsements that he no longer enjoys are still running across the state, lying to Montana voters in their homes and cars on Election Day.

“Greg Gianforte doesn’t deserve to be in Congress after being charged with assault following his violent attack on a journalist,” said Tyler Law of the DCCC. “But if Gianforte lacks the decency to drop out of the race, the very least he can do is to stop lying to Montana voters by claiming to be endorsed by the state’s leading newspapers. He should take these ads down immediately and apologize to Montana voters for this brazen deception.”
