Stefanik to Join Country’s Most Vulnerable Republican Women Lawmakers at Fundraiser in Atlanta

Stefanik will attend September fundraiser with other Vulnerable Republican Women Lawmakers Whose Reelections Are Endangered By Trump

How much is Donald Trump putting Congresswoman Elise Stefanik in a bind?

Next month, she is headed down to Atlanta for a fundraiser geared towards helping some of the most vulnerable Republican women candidates who are negatively impacted by Donald Trump this cycle.

Stefanik joins:

  • New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte, considered one of the most vulnerable Republican Senate incumbents this year who is particularly damaged by Trump.
  • Virginia Congresswoman Barbara Comstock, who is feeling the “Trump effect” in her own competitive race.
  • Arizona Congresswoman Martha McSally, who ran in what was considered one of the most competitive congressional races in 2014 and where Trump is dogging the Republican ticket.

“Trump’s down-ballot effect is forcing Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to join up with other vulnerable Republican incumbents who are desperately trying to avoid the Trump wave,” said Bryan Lesswing at the DCCC. “Unfortunately for Stefanik, she has already endorsed Trump despite his dangerous views. North Country voters won’t let Stefanik get away with putting Trump and her party ahead of what’s best for the country.”
