Will Comstock go on recess without action on No Fly, No Buy legislation?

Today on Capitol Hill, House Democrats are launching their No Bill, No Break effort to prevent the House from adjourning for the 4th of July recess if there has been no action on commonsense legislation to keep the American people safe, including the bipartisan ‘No Fly, No Buy’ bill. This legislation would prevent people on the suspected terrorist watchlist from purchasing firearms.

The voters of Virginia’s 10th Congressional District deserve to know if Congresswoman Barbara Comstock is planning to go on vacation without action on this bill to close the loophole which is supported by the vast majority of Americans, including gun owners and Republicans.

“It ought to be a no-brainer to keep suspected terrorists from purchasing guns, but Barbara Comstock has ducked over a dozen chances to close this loophole,” said Jermaine House of the DCCC. “If Barbara Comstock goes home for yet another Congressional recess without demanding action on the most obvious bill to keep Americans safe, she will have failed Northern Virginians yet again. Will Barbara Comstock stand up to Speaker Ryan and demand a vote?”
