‘Red to Blue’ is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program arming top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support
DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos announced today that four candidates have been named to the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program. These latest additions come as election analysts upgrade Democrats’ likelihood of expanding their majority and Republican strategists openly panic over the devastating effect the House Republican-backed health care lawsuit could have on Republicans in November.
These four candidates have earned a spot on the Red to Blue program by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization and fundraising. Beyond their records of service and demonstrated ability to build a winning campaign infrastructure, these candidates have an authentic, message that connects with voters in their districts Congressional District and deep ties to the diverse communities they aim to serve.
“House Democrats are on offense because of a strong recruiting class committed to strengthening the firewall against Republican attacks on Americans’ health care,” DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos said. “President Trump raised the stakes of this election with his lawsuit to attack Americans health care during a deadly pandemic. I look forward to working with each of these candidates to safeguard Americans’ access to care during this public health crisis.”
Nationwide, there are 24 candidates on the DCCC’s Red to Blue program. Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to develop strong campaigns.
