DCCC Chair Statement on the Retirement of Rep. Alan Lowenthal
DCCC Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement on the retirement of Rep. Alan Lowenthal (CA-47):
“We’re deeply grateful for Rep. Alan Lowenthal’s years of service representing Long Beach and Californians across the 47th Congressional District. A fierce champion for our environment, Alan led the charge to ensure Congress tackled climate change and the existential threat it poses to our planet with the urgency it deserves. From his important work as Chair of the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee of the House Committee on Natural Resources, to his powerful advocacy for our nation’s infrastructure on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Alan served his constituents tirelessly every day. He will be missed, and we wish him well in his next steps.”
