Mike Johnson is Afraid

Scared to be embarrassed before the public for keeping House Republicans on vacation while millions of Americans struggle with GOP health care crisis, Mike Johnson hides

As part of his regular cadence of lamely attempting to defend why House Republicans are on vacation instead of doing their jobs in the Capitol to address the health care crisis they created, Speaker Mike Johnson was asked if he would accept a challenge to a one-on-one debate with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

He said no, proving how afraid he is to defend Republicans’ untenable position.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Republicans know they’ve lost the support of the American people, and that the health care crisis they’ve created is indefensible. If Mike Johnson really thought he had a legitimate argument to make, he’d accept the challenge to debate the GOP health care crisis one-on-one. But his refusal to engage in a debate says it all: Mike Johnson is afraid.”
