Would Nicole Malliotakis Vote to Protect New Yorkers’ Access to Affordable Health Care?

Democrats vote to oppose Washington Republicans’ latest attempt to undermine health care and raise insurance premiums

Today, House Democrats will vote to call out Washington Republicans’ most recent attempt to undermine the health care of Americans – a lawsuit that would eliminate protections for 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions, explode the cost of insurance premiums and out of pocket costs, and charge older Americans an “age tax” for their care.

With New Yorkers’ health care on the line, voters deserve to know whether Nicole Malliotakis will stand up for middle-class families, or with the Washington Republicans backing her campaign. While Nicole Malliotakis decides whose side she is on, House Democrats are fighting hard in Congress to take on the special interests and work to lower the costs of health insurance and prescription drug prices.

“With New Yorkers’ health care at risk, voters deserve to know if Nicole Malliotakis is on the side of protecting middle-class families and their access to health care, or if Nicole Malliotakis backs President Trump and Washington Republicans’ latest attempts to undermine our health care and dismantle protections for New Yorkers with pre-existing conditions,” said DCCC spokesperson Christine Bennett.
