Kermit Jones

California’s 3rd (CA - 03)

Updated: September 16, 2022

Overview

This race will be decided on a fundamental question of who is going to put service to California families ahead of playing politics and banning abortion. For Dr. Kermit Jones, it’s never been about politics, it’s about keeping the oaths he made to his patients and his country. Kevin Kiley is a career politician who cares more about banning abortion, playing politics, and advancing his own career than dealing with the problems facing California families.

Summary

Wade, Republican leaders have already said that they plan on pushing a national ban on abortion – and Kiley will be an automatic vote for their agenda. He voted against decriminalizing miscarriage and is endorsed by groups that want to ban abortion even in the case of rape and incest, and he has even voted against a bill that would prevent certain employers from firing employees if they have an abortion or have pre-marital sex.

When he came home, Jones worked to improve health care for veterans before serving northern California families as a doctor. He’ll protect the right to an abortion, work to tackle problems like inflation, and stand up to both parties when they’re wrong.

  • Kiley has spent the last five years running for four different political offices and he’s shown that he’s willing to do anything to get elected. He even aligned himself with far-right militias who have called for Americans to arm themselves for a civil war and QAnon supporters who are still trying to overturn the 2020 election in an effort to appeal to far-right Trump supporters.

Voters who care about veteran issues should also see TV ads on Sacramento Broadcast, Cable, and OTT/CTV as well as an expanded persuadable voter universe – including NPPs and voters of color – should see digital ads and should read direct mail about:

  • After 9/11 Kermit Jones joined the Navy and served in Iraq as a combat surgeon before serving northern California families as a doctor. Wade, Republican leaders have already said that they plan on pushing a national ban on abortion – and Kiley will be an automatic vote for their agenda. He voted against decriminalizing miscarriage and is endorsed by groups that want to ban all abortions, even in the case of rape and incest.
