Overview

Andrew Garbarino is an out of touch politician who puts his donors and personal interests before Long Islanders. Jackie Gordon is a veteran and former teacher who understands the problems Long Island families are facing and will fight to bring costs down.

Summary

Voters who watch cable TV, morning TV shows, FOX news and digital ads – especially white women, and voters in Babylon – need to see ads about how dangerous Garbarino would make Long Island less safe:

  • Andrew Garbarino has repeatedly sided with the gun lobby over the safety of Long Islanders. He opposes common-sense gun safety measures like universal background checks, voted against preventing people with a history of domestic violence from owning guns, and voted against the historic bipartisan agreement to keep guns out of the hands of criminals that Congress passed following the tragic Uvalde shooting.

Voters who watch cable TV, morning TV shows, and FOX news – especially white women, and voters in Babylon – need to see ads about how bad Garbarino is for women and families:

  • While Gordon believes it is critical that women, not politicians, have the freedom to decide what is right for them and will protect a woman’s right to a safe, legal abortion, Garbarino supports allowing states to ban abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, and even when the woman’s life is in danger. Garbarino even voted against a bipartisan bill that would help parents get baby formula in the middle of the national formula shortage.

Voters across the district, but especially Hispanic voters, white women, and voters in Babylon, need to see digital ads on Facebook, YouTube, and programmatic video platforms starting 8 weeks out from Election Day:

  • While Gordon believes it is critical that women, not politicians, have the freedom to decide what is right for them and will protect a woman’s right to a safe, legal abortion, Garbarino supports allowing states to ban abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, and even when the woman’s life is in danger. Garbarino even voted against a bipartisan bill that would help parents get baby formula in the middle of the national formula shortage.

Hispanic voters, especially voters in Islip, need to see on cable TV, on digital platforms like YouTube, and receive mail about how Garbarino is hurting their pockets:

  • Garbarino received thousands in donations from the pharmaceutical industry and voted against capping the price of insulin at $35 and against efforts to allow Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices. Jackie Gordon knows firsthand how rising healthcare costs hurts families and will fight to cap prescription drug costs and stand up against drug companies.
