Andrea Salinas

Oregon’s 6th (OR - 06)

Updated: October 4, 2022

Overview

Erickson would let politicians ban abortion, even in cases of rape and incest, but he’s out of touch and thinks the rules don’t apply to him.

Summary

OR-06 voters in the Portland media market should see broadcast, cable, OTT/CTV ads, digital ads, and mail about:

  • Erickson supports rolling back women’s reproductive freedoms and would support banning abortions in Oregon, even in cases of rape and incest, but he doesn’t think those rules should apply to him. When his girlfriend was pregnant with his child, she says he didn’t want to have the child and paid for her to get an abortion.

OR-06 voters in the Portland media market should see broadcast, cable, OTT/CTV ads, digital ads, and mail about:

  • Even though Erickson owns a $6.5 million yacht, a $3 million mansion, and has a net worth of as much as $114 million dollars, his company took $150,000 in government funds. While Erickson was personally benefiting from federal money, he criticized financial support for working people hit hardest by COVID.

OR-06 voters need to see a digital program that runs starting 10 weeks out from Election Day on platforms like YouTube, OTT/CTV, programmatic display and video, and on Facebook/Instagram about:

  • Andrea knows that good healthcare is still too expensive for families. That’s why she passed a bill to hold drug companies accountable and lower prescription prices in Oregon. In Congress, she’ll fight to cap the price of insulin and to allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices to make healthcare more affordable for all families.
  • Andrea led the charge to pass the strongest reproductive rights law in the country to ensure health insurance covered reproductive health care, including abortion and birth control. With reproductive rights under unprecedented attack, Andrea will continue defending a woman’s right to choose when she gets to Washington.
  • In the state legislature, Andrea stood up for women – passing laws to expand paid family leave, make childcare more affordable, protect abortion rights, and protect women from sexual abuse in the workplace. In Congress, Andrea will stand up for her daughter and all women.

OR-06 voters under 40 should see digital ads and OTT/CTV ads about:

  • The Oregon League of Conservation Voters endorsed Andrea because she has been a leading advocate for protecting Oregon’s clean air and water. In Congress, she’ll stand up to corporate polluters to protect Oregon’s natural beauty.

Black, Latino, and AAPI voters need to see a positive turnout message on OTT/CTV ads, digital ads, and mail about:

  • Andrea Salinas’ father immigrated from Mexico as a child, worked in the fields, served in Vietnam to become a U.S. citizen, and then spent three decades as a police officer. From him, Andrea learned the value of a strong work ethic in making a better life, and now she’s fighting for a better future for all Oregonians. In Congress, she’ll deliver funding to get homeless people into housing, reduce prescription drug prices, expand affordable health care, and protect access to abortion and contraception.
