Yesli Vega is an extremist who has a dangerous agenda for Virginia.

  • As a former police officer, Yesli Vega says she has worked with rape victims, but, according to the Washington Post and other local news outlets, Vega was recently caught at a campaign event saying that she doubted whether a woman could become pregnant from rape.
  • Vega said “it’s not something that’s happening organically. You’re forcing it.” Then later, Vega said “I can see why maybe there’s truth” to the notion that it is harder for women to become pregnant from rape. When asked by reporters, Vega refused to correct her statement. 
  • Vega would push her extreme agenda in Congress and would support a national ban on abortion. She’d let states ban abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother.

  • Yesli Vega defended the January 6th protesters, claiming they were exercising their First Amendment rights. She even sided with the rioters, saying they were the ones who were “persecuted,” even though more than 100 police officers were injured and five died after responding to the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Black voters across the district, particularly those under the age of 55, should receive mail, see digital ads, and hear radio ads that communicate the following about Yesli Vega.
