November 1 marks the start date for ACA Open Enrollment
For six straight weeks, Monica De La Cruz has refused to address the health care crisis she created.
As millions of Americans begin shopping for health care tomorrow during the start of open enrollment, Texans will log on and see higher health care premiums because De La Cruz would rather be on vacation than working to find a bipartisan solution to their health care crisis.
Because De La Cruz and Republicans refuse to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, 3,352,000 Texans will face – on average – more than double the cost next year, forcing many to abandon their health coverage altogether. This is despite the overwhelming majority of Americans who support Congress extending the ACA tax credits.
Yesterday, the DCCC released a new digital ad in TX-15 to hold De La Cruz accountable for her refusal to take action and failure to lower costs.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Monica De La Cruz is failing Texans. Open enrollment begins tomorrow, but De La Cruz is on vacation and millions of Americans will face higher costs – or be forced to go without health care – because she wanted to shut the government down. De La Cruz will lose her seat next year because of this cruelty.”
