Carlos Curbelo & Republicans Have Sunk to New Low: He should demand the Congressional Leadership Fund stop helping Russian’s threaten national security, create chaos in elections
In a new desperate television ad by Carlos Curbelo’s national Republican allies, the Congressional Leadership Fund has sunk to a new low and is using documents stolen by the Russian Government during a summer cyber-attack against several American political organizations.
Through these attacks of Democratic institutions, including Hillary Clinton’s senior staffers, it’s clear that the Russians aim to help elect Donald Trump and his allies like Carlos Curbelo. By utilizing these documents, Curbelo and his allies are aiding the Russians in that dangerous effort.
“This is yet another example that Curbelo and his Republican allies will do anything to rescue one of their most vulnerable, including using stolen documents obtained through a Russian state-sponsored cyber-attack, with the goal of influencing our elections,” said Javier Gamboa of the DCCC. “Given the Republican standard-bearer Donald Trump’s cozy relationship with Russia, it comes as no surprise that Republican party bosses are trying to help elect him and his allies like Curbelo. Still, encouraging further cyber-attacks by using this stolen material is a threat to our national security and Carlos Curbelo needs to do what’s right for our country by demanding his party bosses to take this ad down.”
