Ahead of the Fourth of July holiday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching a targeted digital ad campaign calling on One-Term Wonder Congressman Cresent Hardy to ‘Declare his Independence’ from controversial rancher Cliven Bundy.
For over a year Cresent Hardy has refused to distance himself from his old friend Cliven Bundy. Unfortunately for Hardy, Bundy continues to keep himself in the news with a recent one-on-one meeting with Rand Paul – serving up a reminder that Hardy is woefully out-of-touch with his diverse district.
“Congressman Cresent Hardy continues to blame everyone but himself for his deep connections to Cliven Bundy and penchant for attacking the most vulnerable members of society,” said Tyler Law of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Enough is enough. Hardy needs to start taking responsibility for his offensive behavior.”
One Term Wonder Congressman Cresent Hardy has already been spotlighted as the most likely Congressmember to lose their seat this cycle. This dubious distinction is largely because of his penchant for making disparaging comments about “the 47%,” the Employee Non Discrimination Act, welfare recipients, and most recently, children with disabilities. Oh, and Cresent Hardy doesn’t just think disabled people are a drain on society. He also thinks elderly people and immigrants who stay longer than three months are drains on society. It’s worth noting that he is also concerned with anyone that “pulls up in a welfare district in a big fancy Escalade.” It’s clear that Cliven Bundy isn’t the only person regularly offending and embarrassing Nevadans.
