Conservatives Martin Babinec & Claudia Tenney Have a Lot in Common

Both candidates would caucus with House Republicans, support Paul Ryan for Speaker

It turns out that conservative candidates Martin Babinec and Claudia Tenney have a lot in common.

Take for example last night’s Time Warner Cable news debate.

When asked if he would support Paul Ryan, Babinec replied, “I will caucus with the Republicans and yes I will support Paul Ryan” [32:00]. The official Republican Party candidate Tenney agreed.

Babinec hasn’t been shy about his true Republican colors.

Babinec admitted early on that he’d caucus with the House Republicans, if elected.

More recently, Babinec named a leader of the House Republican Tea Party caucus as a lawmaker he most admired.

“Given that they both have pledged to caucus with the House Republicans and support Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House, it turns out that conservative candidates Martin Babinec and Claudia Tenney have a lot in common in New York’s 22nd congressional race,” said Bryan Lesswing at the DCCC. “Voting for Martin Babinec or Claudia Tenney is a vote for Speaker Ryan’s destructive House Republican agenda.”
