This Independence Day, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching a targeted digital ad campaign inviting voters to celebrate Congressman Dan Benishek’s “independence” from his promise to serve only three terms.
As he announced, Benishek isn’t going to restrict himself to only three terms in Congress – he’s declared himself free to run for another term.
“Dan Benishek has already declared his independence from his promise to voters to be a three-term congressman, so let’s join him in celebrating his independence from keeping his word,” said Sacha Haworth of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Perhaps this year will also be the year Benishek declares himself independent of the special interests and Washington insiders who convinced him to betray voters in the first place.”
