DCCC Chairman Steve Israel released the following statement on the AZ-02 primary:
“Representative Ron Barber has focused on creating jobs, fighting to save the A-10 at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, securing the border and putting the needs of Southern Arizona’s families first. In contrast, Martha McSally is the Koch brothers’ hand-picked candidate for Congress whose dangerous agenda of supporting Social Security privatization, eliminating the Federal student loan program and cutting taxes for the wealthy at the expense of the middle class would take Southern Arizonans backwards.”
