DCCC Releases New TV Ad in NY-19: “Costs”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for New York’s 19th Congressional District, “Costs,” highlighting how vulnerable New York Republican Marc Molinaro’s campaign has been funded by special interests responsible for hiking the price of prescription drugs and utility rates for Upstate New Yorkers.

In Congress, Molinaro voted to raise prescription drug costs, opposed capping insulin at $35, opposed holding drug companies accountable for price gouging, and sold out to utility companies.

The ad – the third to run in New York’s 19th Congressional District from the DCCC IE – is airing in the Binghamton, Albany, and New York media markets beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

Transcript:

“We can’t afford the bill Marc Molinaro is leaving us.

His campaign has taken thousands of dollars from drug companies.

And Molinaro opposed capping insulin prices at 35 dollars.

He even opposed holding drug companies accountable for price gouging.

And Molinaro took thousands from the utility companies…

That raised our rates by 62%.

Potentially adding hundreds of dollars to our bills.

That’s just crazy.

Marc Molinaro gets thousands of dollars, and we’re left with the bill.
