DCCC Statement on Florida 27th Congressional District Primary Results
DCCC Spokesman Jermaine House released the following statement to congratulate Scott Fuhrman on his primary victory in Florida’s 27th Congressional District:
“Congratulations to Florida businessman Scott Fuhrman on tonight’s primary victory. Fuhrman’s efforts to hold Republicans accountable for their failure to provide funding to combat the growing Zika epidemic is a clear example that he is willing to fight for South Florida’s priorities.
“By voting for Speaker Ryan after he promised not to pursue immigration reform and joining her Republican colleagues to break without addressing the Zika crisis, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has proven she won’t stand up to her party’s leadership. If she can’t stand up to Paul Ryan and House Republicans than she can’t be expected to stand up to a potential Trump presidency.
“This fall, Scott Fuhrman will give South Florida’s voters a clear choice between the Trump-Ileana and Clinton-Fuhrman ticket.”
