Responding to Congresswoman Claudia Tenney’s statement that she is supporting the “Collins Amendment” to the disastrous Republican healthcare bill, DCCC spokesman Evan Lukaske issued the following statement:
“This latest political maneuvering by Representative Tenney is nothing but a smokescreen to distract her constituents from the disastrous consequences of the Republican healthcare bill. This amendment does nothing to change the massive age tax on older New Yorkers or help the millions of Americans who would lose their health care, including a staggering 80,000 in Tenney’s own district. Tenney played a critical role in voting to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and she owns the pain that this plan will cause New York families.”
