House Republicans today tapped Rep. Frank Guinta to be a member of the House Budget Committee, according to a news release. The New Hampshire Republican previously served on the committee in the 112th Congress.
“Congressman Guinta brings a record of fighting for common-sense solutions that will help grow our economy and create jobs,” Chairman Tom Price (R-Ga.) said in a statement. “His knowledge and experience will be important parts of our work, putting our fiscal house in order and getting our economy moving.”
Guinta, who also serves on the House Financial Services Committee, joins the Budget Committee at a busy time. Chairman Price aims to mark up the fiscal year 2017 budget by the end of the month.
