Issa Lies About Military Service, Trump Appoints Him to National Security Advisory Council

Today Donald Trump announced appointments to his National Security Advisory Council, including vulnerable San Diego Congressman Darrell Issa, who once said he received the “highest possible” ratings in the U.S. Army.

Issa, like Trump, has no problem glazing over the facts or rewriting history to make himself look good. The truth is that Issa received “unsatisfactory” ratings and had to be transferred posts. Issa even lied about where he was and what he did while he was in the Army.

“There’s nothing Darrell Issa won’t do to get closer to Donald Trump, so it makes sense he would trump up his military record to get a spot on his national security advisory board,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “National security experts from both sides of the aisle agree Trump is too dangerous to be President, but Issa is making it evident once again that he cares more about himself and his politics than the good of the country.”
