Vulnerable Congressman Jeff Denham endorsed Jeb Bush for President less than 24 hours after Bush argued the term “anchor babies” isn’t offensive.
But this election season, Denham will have to answer a lot more questions than why his chosen candidate is doubling down on a derogatory term.
For instance, does Denham support raising the Social Security retirement age to “68 or 70,” like Bush said recently? How about phasing out Medicare? Does Denham agree that women’s health care is overfunded?
“Central Valley’s hard working families deserve to know why Jeff Denham supports a candidate who favors phasing out Medicare, wants to raise the Social Security retirement age, and thinks women’s health care is overfunded,” said Barb Solish of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “If Bush policies are Denham policies, Central Valley families will suffer.”
