With Cruz and Kasich out, Sheriff Scott Jones faces the harsh reality he’s sharing the ballot with Donald Trump.
Jones has been twisting himself into a pretzel trying to separate himself from Trump after saying the presumptive nominee “connects with people” and he “would definitely support Trump if he were the nominee.” It’s time for Jones to follow through and officially endorse Trump.
“Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive nominee, long-shot Sheriff Scott Jones should get the talking points ready for defending Trump and his dangerous views that that insult women, trample on the Constitution and make America less safe,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “No amount of side-stepping can change the fact that Jones is officially running on the Trump ticket.”
