Millionaire Stewart Mills III Calls Duluth Construction Workers Liars for Wanting Higher Wages

It’s clear that multi-millionaire Stewart Mills III is already grasping at straws: trailing in the polls by double digits, Mills has lashed out at Duluth construction workers advocating for a higher wage.

News broke recently that Stewart Mills III – who inherited millions from his family and stands to make millions more after they sell the family franchise – has received more than a million dollars of taxpayer money to help build his new store in Hermantown. Yet he still has the audacity to pay the workers who are building his store half the prevailing wage, with no benefits, and then call them liars when they call him out for it in the press.

Remember, Stewart Mills III finds it “personally offensive” for multi-millionaires like himself to pay his fair share of taxes. He also apparently doesn’t think his construction workers should get their fair share of wages.

“Minnesota voters rejected Stewart Mills III last year because it’s clear he’s just another multi-millionaire who inherited his wealth and finds it ‘personally offensive’ when he and his super-rich friends are asked to pay their fair share,” said Sacha Haworth of the DCCC.  “Mills sticks to policies that line his pockets with more money despite being bad for middle-class families, but if Stewart Mills III thinks that accusing Duluth construction workers of lying is a winning strategy, he’s got another think coming.”
