Taxpayer funds directed to French Hill’s bank by corrupt former State Treasurer Martha Shoffner spiked by 800 percent following donations from Hill and his bank executives to Shoffner’s political campaign, according to a new report in the Democrat-Gazette.
Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released the following graph highlighting the spike in taxpayer spending directed to Hill’s bank by Shoffner following the donations:

- In 2009, Hill and executives at his bank Delta Trust donated thousands of dollars to corrupt former State Treasurer Shoffner’s re-election campaign;
- In 2010, corrupt former State Treasurer Shoffner directed $200 million in taxpayer spending to Hill’s bank – an increase of 800 percent from the year before his donation — according to records from the State Treasurer’s office.
