On the 14th Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, Derrick Van Orden Continues Reckless Crusade To Wipe Away Health Care From Wisconsinites

14 years after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, Derrick Van Orden and House Republicans continue to follow dangerous calls to “terminate” coverage for 266,327 Wisconsinites, including some of the 883,000 with pre-existing conditions who would likely be denied coverage without the ACA’s protections.

Van Orden has called for repealing the ACA. The majority of the House Republican conference, via their continued support of the Republican Study Committee, back a plan to gut the ACA and privatize Medicare.

Van Orden will do everything he can to take away this critical coverage.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“For 14 years, millions of Americans have had access to quality health care thanks to the Affordable Care Act. Derrick Van Orden is fixated on repealing this law, putting hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites, including those with pre-existing conditions, at risk of being denied coverage. Van Orden’s failure to stand up for Wisconsinites once again will cost him at the ballot box.”
