RECORD BREAKING: DCCC announces BEST APRIL EVER WITH $11.2M RAISED

Nearly $3.1M raised online in April; average online gift $16

Over $56M raised online this cycle

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today announced record-breaking April fundraising. In April, the DCCC raised $11.2M compared to $8.5M in April of 2016. Reflecting the grassroots energy behind House Democrats, the committee raised nearly $3.1M online in April with an average gift of $16. Nearly 50% of the total raised in April came from grassroots donations online, on the phones, and in the mail.

Overall, the DCCC has raised nearly $151M total with over $56M coming from online donations. Over 340k first-time online donors contributed to this total. The DCCC has received more than 3.2M individual gifts under $200 both online and through direct marketing this cycle.

Despite full Republican control of Washington, the DCCC has out-raised the NRCC nearly every month and by tens of millions cycle-to-date.

“The DCCC’s historic grassroots fundraising combined with incredible candidate fundraising will ensure that Democratic candidates have the resources to share their records of service with the voters who will determine control of the House,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “It’s clear that Democrats will be outspent in the midterms by Republican dark secret outside groups. That’s why we are working with the grassroots and all of our allies on the ground to out-work the Republicans and hold them accountable for a historically unpopular agenda.”
