Two years ago, Van Orden applauded the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and take away a woman’s right to have an abortion.
In the two years since Van Orden cheered for the fall of Roe, he and his party have worked to further restrict women’s reproductive freedoms. Van Orden has touted that he’s “100% pro-life” and even compared abortion to “genocide.”
From working to outlaw abortion medication, voting to allow states to implement abortion bans, to unanimously electing a Speaker who wants to “get the number of abortions to ZERO,” Van Orden and his party have made it clear the Dobbs decision they celebrated was just the first step in their mission to ban abortion nationwide.
