Today, One-Term Wonder Congressman Cresent Hardy participated in a trip to Yucca Mountain that was strongly denounced by Nevada Senator Dean Heller. Inexplicably, Hardy has focused heavily on Yucca Mountain in his first three months in office – a deeply unpopular project that’s been opposed for years by Republicans and Democrats in the state. Sen. Heller reacted with a strongly worded statement slamming the trip as a “disingenuous, political sideshow.”
“It has to be awkward for Congressman Hardy when Nevada’s Republican Senator is slamming his trip to Yucca Mountain as a political sideshow,” said DCCC Communications Director Matt Thornton. “Congressman Hardy has proven himself far better at playing political games than showing leadership.”
