Stewart Mills III “For Sale” to Koch Brothers

Multi-millionaire once again takes money from Kochs who closed Duluth factory in 2012koch

For someone who claims he’s “not for sale for any price,” multi-millionaire Stewart Mills III sure likes taking money from corporate billionaire executives who put 141 8th District workers out of a job – while calling for more tax cuts for the wealthy.

This quarter, Mills accepted $5,000 from the billionaire Koch brothers just as eagerly as he accepted a cushy title at his family’s firm. Ironically, this report surfaced at the same time as Mills was spotted again calling for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires like himself – despite it falling flat in 2014. That doesn’t seem to faze Mills, since his buddies the Koch brothers have been pushing these policies that favor the rich for years.

Shockingly, Mills has zero qualms about once again taking Koch brothers money, even though the Koch brothers were single-handedly responsible for shuttering a Georgia Pacific factory in Duluth in 2012 – putting 141 Eighth District workers out of a job – and getting bashed for it all over local TV screens.

“Looking at Stewart Mills’ history of taking special interest money and then advocating for their policies that favor millionaires like himself, it’s clear Stewart Mills III is, actually, ‘for sale,’” said Sacha Haworth of the DCCC. “Mills should have learned last cycle that 8th District working families aren’t going to reward him for accepting money from the same billionaire corporate executives who put them out of a job.”
