DCCC spokeswoman Rachel Irwin released the following statement in response to U.S. Senator Jerry Moran’s scathing opposition to BCRA, which started in the House and was supported by Rep. Kevin Yoder:
“This bill is so bad that Republican Senators, including Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas, are coming forward to voice their opposition and calling on leadership to start from scratch. The widespread backlash to this House-led bill, from sitting U.S. Senators to medical professionals to Kansas families, says it all. There’s no doubt Rep. Kevin Yoder will be held responsible for this heartless bill and his vote to reduce coverage and raise healthcare premiums on Election Day.”
