Attacking job creators becomes central theme of Tenney’s campaign
Claudia Tenney has made attacking job creators Upstate a central theme of her campaign. And now, Washington Republicans are following her lead.
In a new ad, the national Republicans’ congressional campaign arm is attacking opponent Kim Myers’ family business, Dick’s Sporting Goods, even though the company recently announced hundreds of new jobs in the district.
Perhaps this is why Claudia Tenney failed to secure an endorsement from the Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s disappointing that the main campaign theme for Tea Party extremist Claudia Tenney and her Washington Republican allies is attacking job creators in the district, like Dick’s Sporting Goods,” said Bryan Lesswing at the DCCC. “Upstate New York is badly in need of jobs, and it’s clear that Claudia Tenney will go at any length to put her job-attacking agenda first.”
