😱 Former GOP Speaker Kevin McCarthy on GOP Midterm Outlook: “I’M WORRIED”

McCarthy just did a masterclass on Fox News of how Republicans are going to lose the House: “The midterms right now, I’m worried because the generic ballot’s over six, so that’s advantage to the Democrats.”

• On Iowa: “I’m going to watch Iowa, I think, that governor’s race there […] but we have four congressional seats, when I first came in, we only had one Republican one. They’re going to be some tough ones.”
• On Pennsylvania: “Pennsylvania is going to be a swing state, Democrats have a very good governor who’ll probably try to run the tickets up…”
  
• On Arizona: “I’m worried about Arizona because I don’t think the Republican nominee we have, Biggs, could cut across and get moderates and others… If he underperforms, he could cost us Congress’ majority.” 

McCarthy’s comments come as a new Reuters poll shows Donald Trump at an ALL-TIME low approval rating. At the same time, Democrats are LEADING on who Americans trust more to handle cost of living concerns, 38% to 31%. 

Real Clear Politics has Democrats up 6.7% on the generic ballot.
