🚨 RATINGS CHANGE: Inside Elections Shifts TX-35 Towards Democrats as Johnny Garcia Gains Momentum

Today, Inside Elections shifted their prediction for Texas’ 35th Congressional District in Democrats’ direction in the latest sign that Republicans’ dummymander is poised to backfire.

Inside Elections writes in part that “the 35th was redrawn to elect a Republican, but a rebound for Democrats among Latino voters and strong top-of-ticket campaigns…are keeping Bexar County sheriff’s deputy Johnny Garcia in the hunt against Republican Carlos De La Cruz.”

REMINDER: The rating change comes just one day after new polling found Garcia statistically tied with De La Cruz, and comes in the wake of a shady Republican PAC spending nearly $1 million to try and take down Garcia in his primary because they were scared to face him in the general.

DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Republicans’ attempts to undermine the will of South Texas voters won’t work. While Republicans try to cheat their way out of being held accountable for their failing records of higher costs and tax giveaways for billionaires, Johnny Garcia is focused on putting the people of San Antonio first. This November, South Texans will make their voices heard and keep TX-35 blue.”
