🚨 REPORT: After Rob Wittman’s Vote to Gut Medicaid, Funding for Rappahannock General Hospital at Risk

Wittman cast the deciding vote for Republicans’ Tax Scam that makes historic cuts to Medicaid which could gut funding for rural hospitals

A new report from the UNC Cecil G. Sheps Center explains how Rob Wittman and House Republicans’ Tax Scam budget risks the closure of more than 300 rural hospitals across the U.S. – including Rappahannock General Hospital serving Virginia’s 1st Congressional District.

REMINDER: Wittman lied to Virginia voters after he pledged he would not vote to cut Medicaid, but instead “folded” and “sold out” his constituents by voting for Republicans’ “Big Ugly Bill.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Congressman Wittman lied to Virginia voters and failed to keep his promise not to cut Medicaid, and now rural hospitals like Rappahannock General are at risk of shuttering. Wittman is hurting his own constituents, and he will be held accountable for his devastating vote.”
