| Yesterday, Inside Elections announced that it is shifting its prediction for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District towards Democrats, building on growing momentum and setting the stage for a competitive election in 2026.
Inside Elections noted that a weakened Chuck Edwards will be facing his “strongest opponent yet” in Jamie Ager. Jamie handily won in last week’s North Carolina primary elections and was recently added to the DCCC’s Red-to-Blue list.
REMINDER: Last year, Cook Political Report also shifted their rating for NC-11 towards Democrats citing Edwards’ vulnerabilities on Hurricane Helene relief.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Voters in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District are ready for real representation that will actually deliver results. Chuck Edwards has spent his time in Congress posing for photo-ops while families in Western North Carolina still struggle to recover from Hurricane Helene. Jamie Ager isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and get the job done – in November, that’s exactly what voters are going to send him to Congress to do.” |
