Republican Doug Ollivant will compete with Tara Durant to see which candidate wants to rip away health care from more Virginians
The GOP primary in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District just got messier.

Tara Durant has been such a bad candidate that yet another Republican, Doug Ollivant, is jumping into the race. There are now at least four GOP candidates set to fight amongst themselves for the nomination.

REMINDER: Durant has fully embraced the “Trump agenda” and campaigned with Winsome Earle-Sears, who dismissed devastating DOGE cuts that have upended Virginia’s workforce and economy as not a “real issue” and said Republicans’ budget that guts Medicaid “does so many great things.” Does Ollivant agree?

“Republicans are facing a crowded, vicious primary fight in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District that will leave their eventual nominee badly damaged and even more out of step with hardworking families. While Republicans brawl among themselves, Eugene Vindman has shown he is willing to work with anyone to lower costs, fight for good paying jobs, get deadly drugs like fentanyl off our streets, and protect our freedoms – which is exactly why Virginia voters will reelect him next November.”
