New reporting from Wall Street Journal reveals that after Sen. Jon Husted called on Max Miller to resign from Congress over abuse allegations —
which include throwing hot water at his ex-wife, holding a gun to her head, and fracturing their 2-year-old daughter’s collarbone —
Miller lashed out at the Ohio Republican, calling him “as entertaining as a two-by-four” and “as smart as a box of rocks.”
Miller even desperately claimed that “[his] chances of winning are much better than [Husted’s],” despite his flailing campaign that’s bleeding support and polling that consistently shows him losing to Union Ironworker Brian Poindexter.
But this behavior is nothing new for Miller. After his ex-father-in-law, Sen. Bernie Moreno, called on him to exit the House and said he needs “professional help,” Miller implied he has ‘dirt’ on Moreno.
In July, Miller took his anger out on Mike Johnson, calling him “pathetic,” claiming he “continues to fib to his colleagues,” and stating “he is just terrible at his job.”
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Max Miller is facing horrific abuse allegations, and instead of answering for them, he’s hurling insults at every Republican who tells him it’s time to go. Miller has made it clear he cares far more about fighting for himself than hardworking Ohioans — which is why they will replace him with union ironworker Brian Poindexter in November.”
