Cait joined MSNOW’s The Last Word to discuss how Mike Lawler’s fealty to Donald Trump has forced Hudson Valley families to make “trade-offs between buying prescriptions or buying groceries,” calling out Lapdog Lawler for serving “his own political ambition, political interest, and Donald Trump.”

“At the end of the day, it’s affordability. It’s the fact that folks are having to make trade-offs between buying prescriptions or buying groceries. Between filling up their grocery cart or filling up their gas tank. […]

Eight votes for the tariffs that have jacked up costs here in the Hudson Valley by $4,200 per household. Voting six times for the reckless war in Iran that’s costing us at the pump nearly a dollar and a half more than it did before the war. And so we just see this pattern of behavior where Mike Lawler votes one way, Donald Trump’s way, even when it harms families right here. […]

The people here in the Hudson Valley are sick of it. They know better. They know that since Mike Lawler has taken this seat, their lives have only gotten worse and they deserve better. And that’s what I’m fighting for this November. They deserve a public servant, not a puppet. […]

[Mike Lawler] serves his own political ambition, political interest, and Donald Trump. And we’ve seen that with his record. We’ve seen that with his votes, which have been 100% of the time for Donald Trump. But I find that absolutely inexcusable. I find that to be cowardly, and I find that to be far from adequate and far from what the people of NY-17 deserve.”
