Democratic momentum is surging as the Cook Political Report shifts 11 races in Democrats’ direction. The shifts reflect an expansive battlefield for Democrats, which stretches well into districts Trump won by 10 points in 2024.
Cook Political’s Erin Covey writes:
“Across the country, scores of districts that President Donald Trump won by 10 or more points are now firmly in play. Five districts, four of which Trump won by double digits, are shifting from Likely to Lean Republican.”
Since Labor Day, Cook Political, Inside Elections, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Fox News have made 152 rating changes in Democrats’ favor.
