| In August, the DCCC nearly doubled the NRCC’s monthly fundraising haul — $7.1 million to $3.9 million, which Punchbowl accurately describes as “a pretty sizable discrepancy, especially after Republicans pushed through their biggest legislative achievement of the year, passing the One Big Beautiful Bill.”
At the same time, Democrats are overperforming in special election after special election, driving down Trump and Republican’s approval rating on the core issues animating the electorate like the high cost of living, and winning on the generic congressional ballot.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Prices are rising and House Republicans have nothing but broken promises to run on. Their stagnant fundraising, special election losses, and failure to deliver is why they are attempting to game the midterm elections by rigging congressional maps in their favor.” |
