One month out from the midterm elections, new projections from the non-partisan race-rater Inside Elections shift 11 battleground seats in Democrats’ favor, including 10 Republican-held seats:
- CA-22 – Valadao: Tilt R → Toss Up
- FL-13 – Luna: Likely R → Lean R
- KY-06 – OPEN: Likely R → Lean R
- MT-01 – OPEN: Likely R → Lean R
- MI-04 – Huizenga: Lean R → Tilt R
- NY-21 – OPEN: Solid R → Likely R
- OH-15 – Carey: Solid R → Likely R
Earlier this week, Sabato’s Crystal Ball also moved 11 races in Democrats’ favor, including nine Republican-held districts. CNN reports that Democrats are out to an advantage according to early vote analysis, which found that Democrats “make up a larger share of voters requesting ballots so far than they did at this point in 2024.”
DCCC Communications Director Courtney Rice:
“Democrats have the wind at our backs entering the final month of the midterms. Voters are sick of paying more and more for everyday essentials because of House Republicans’ broken promises, and they’re ready to elect Democrats to the House Majority in November.”
