🚨 NEW GOP POLL: Republicans in Deep Trouble on Health Care

Donald Trump wants Republicans to make health care policy a 2026 priority… too bad for them a new GOP poll finds only 38% support his handling on the issue

Republicans are starting off the new year in the same spot they ended 2025: working against the American people who are struggling to afford care because of the GOP health care crisis.

Last year, House Republicans passed the least popular piece of legislation in modern American history, which enacted massive cuts to Medicaid and food assistance programs to pay for tax breaks for GOP billionaire donors. At the same time, Republicans refused to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, causing health insurance premiums to spike for more than 20 million Americans.

Now, Donald Trump wants Republicans to go all-in on promoting their awful record on health care, saying “It should be our issue.”

The problem? The public hates the GOP health care crisis and Republicans are massively underwater on the issue – by their OWN polling.

As a result of the chaotic, unpopular agenda, rank-and-file Republicans like Nancy Mace are already declaring a midterm wipeout is forthcoming:

“Well, no, I’m actually not,” Mace said when asked if she was confident the GOP would hold onto power. “I feel like we could do a lot more. We don’t have a lot of time to, I believe, implement all of Donald Trump’s agenda. Republican primaries start in March — Texas is one of the earliest states. And I don’t believe we’ve done enough.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“The DCCC welcomes House Republicans to follow their real speaker, Donald Trump, and make their wildly unpopular health care crisis a central issue of the 2026 midterm election.”
