| A new investigative report from Popular Information reveals that the shadowy “Progressive Champions PAC” is directly linked to Speaker Mike Johnson’s Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) and “is part of a network of sham “progressive” PACs attempting to influence key Democratic primaries across the country.”
According to the report, CLF’s own treasurer, Caleb Crosby, is directly tied to Progressive Champions PAC – which has spent $1.5 million to meddle in New York’s 17th Congressional District Democratic primary.
The report also finds that Progressive Champions PAC and GOP-linked “Real Change PAC,” which has meddled in Maine and New Jersey races, were created just five minutes apart last month.
Popular Information’s explosive findings follow recent reporting from Cook Political Report and Punchbowl News that Progressive Champions and Real Change both use the same small Alabama-based bank mainly serving Republican politicians and campaign committees.
