| The non-partisan Cook Political Report just shifted their prediction for Alaska’s At-Large District in Hill’s direction — the latest sign that he has the momentum to take down Nick Begich in a state Donald Trump won by 13 points.
Cook writes in part that “this race has seen significantly more ad spending than any other House race in the Likely Republican column, a sign that both parties are treating this like a competitive race,” adding that “this race has tightened.”
The ratings change comes on the heels of two recent polls showing Hill within striking distance of Begich, including one showing a one point race. With less than two weeks until Election Day, Hill continues to talk to voters in every corner of Alaska about his campaign to lower costs, clean up Washington corruption, and put the working people of Alaska first.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Bill Hill has the momentum, Nick Begich is on the ropes, and Republicans are hemorrhaging resources to defend a seat they once considered safe. Alaskans are fed up with Begich bending the knee to billionaires and his party in Washington at their expense, and are going to elect a hardworking, independent fisherman in Bill who will fight tooth and nail to put them first in Congress.” |
