| The nonpartisan Cook Political Report shifted Michigan’s 4th District in Democrats’ direction to “Lean Republican” – the latest sign that Bill Huizenga is staring down his toughest election yet.
Cook highlights Huizenga’s seat is looking “increasingly competitive” as “Republicans admit that they’re preparing for a close race.”

- … Trump only carried the district by six points. As the historically conservative region around Grand Rapids has shifted left — Ottawa County was one of the few Michigan counties where Kamala Harris improved on Joe Biden’s margin — this district has become increasingly competitive for Democrats.
